The little elf that tried to break the lady free. It was kinda like the stupid poetry books Cassandra kept around her room she thought no one knew about. Mainly in the stupid bit. But it'd been something strong against what she'd chatted with Lady Seeker Bits about, so it got Sera curious.

It only took a chat with a kitchen girl then a stable boy to find the rebel boy. Sera crept up, all sneaky quite like without any fire or bees at all, then crouched on a pile of hay only a few inches from the sleeping Gavin. Slowly, so slowly, she leaned in so their faces were barely an inch apart.

"Hey."

It had been one of the first real nights of sleep he'd had in weeks. The weeks in the dungeon had not offered much more than restless, cold and terrified napping - never quite managing to fall asleep for more than two hours at a time, and nothing as comfortable as the pile of hay he was sleeping on then.

So he didn't startle so much as groggily blink, and then frown, trying to make sense of the swimming face in front of his.

".... Hey?" He asked stupidly, blinking again, before pulling his head back so that he could actually see who had decided to basically dart in for a kiss, only to see---

No one he recognized. Wait. Maybe he did?

"Wait - aren't you-- weren't you one of the Herald's friends--" Because clearly that's the most important part.

Now he's awake she leans back, falling on her butt in the hay next to him.

"Sure. Would be still. If-" a weaving hand motion. You know what happened. She knows. Everyone knows. "What's that got to do with it?"

Like he's the one being confusing here.

[slipshot]

"Uh --" He gave a sort of helpless expression, before rubbing his eyes.

"-- Ah, nothing, exactly, I just... was trying to place you. I felt like I knew you, from somewhere. That must have been it."

"Yeah. And I know you for being the dumbest elf in Skyhold. Not bad, seeing what you're up against."

It's still said with a grin, so there's that.

"Hungry?"

He gave her a very sheepish grin in reply, raising a hand to rub through his hair as he shifted to sit up a little better.

"Ah - always. Generally speaking. But is that - is that really why you came to talk to me? To feed me?"

[arsebiscuit]

"Nah, just going to be raiding the kitchen soon. Figured it'd be easier with help."

Raiding, pranking. Same think. The point was the cooks would be out for a whole ten minutes soon and she needed to take advantage.

[slipshot]

"I am pretty sure the cook has a standing warrant for my head," He said, the joke coming a little more easily even if the smile didn't. "But I - ah - I don't think I could say no. My guard is somewhere near by, though. One of the scouts. You'll have to sign off on him and take responsibility for me."

A pause, and a sheepish look.

"And then we just have to make sure not to get caught."

"Who says guard's got to know?"

It was more or less neutral, if she had to go be all proper she'd leave a fun note for Cass. But you never knew. Some people were more resilient than most.

[slipshot]

That made him smile - honestly, and widely, almost a gratefulness in his eyes.

"... If we get caught, I'm still blaming it all on you. There's a - window. In the back."

[arsebiscuit]

"You really are the dumbest elf around. I don't get caught."

Can't say much for him though. Code of thieves, right? But Sera flashes a grin and is off, out the window then slinking along the wall.
